and the differences of differences are 2, 2, 2, 2. all are equal. so this series represents a quadratic equation.

Now ${{\rm{A}}_1}$ = a + b + c = 2

${{\rm{A}}_2}$ = 4a + 2b + c = 4

${{\rm{A}}_3}$ = 9a + 3b + c = 8

Solving above equations we get a = 1, b = - 1 and C = 2

So substituting in ${{\rm{A}}_{\rm{n}}}$ = ${n^2} + bn + c$ = ${n^2} - n + 2$

Substitute 100 in the above equation we get 9902.
